Saturday's are build days
at the club's workshop! The workshop is an exclusive feature of the club and an
area for all our club members to get together and hone their modeling skills.
Each Saturday the workshop is open for members to get together and build on
their favorite model. Hours of the workshop are from 7:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
The workshop is the site for the regular monthly meetings and club quarterly
contests. MMCL also conducts special classes with club "experts" in figure painting, the art of filling seams, camouflaging, airbrushing techniques, applying washes, dry brushing, and other "how to" seminars. These classes helps our modelers become proficient in the hobby. The workshop is located in the lower level of the Kentuckiana Antique Car Club hall, 3821 Hunsinger Lane. (Intersection of Hunsinger Lane and Crawforshire Lane and site of the former Hunsinger Lane Baptist Church). The workshop is complete with vac-u-forms, construction tables, overhead lights and magnifiers, an assortment of hobby tools and complete kitchen. The club has purchased many special tools for club members use. Hold 'n Folds, special cutting saws, and Dremels just to name a few. The club maintains a well stocked tool room complete with sanding sticks, glues and other assorted tools of the trade.
